What specific situation or revelation prompted you to write your book?
The seed that grew to become my book was planted on my twenty-seventh birthday by my sister who gave me a copy of the book entitled The Flood by Dr. Alfred M. Rehwinkel. In it, Dr. Rehwinkel described the 1900 discovery of the Berezovka Mammoth, whose remains were found encapsulated in the frozen tundra of northern Siberia, near the Arctic Circle. The story fascinated me because, although the animal died over four thousand years ago, its flesh appeared grocery store fresh. I wondered how an animal the size of an elephant could have been frozen so rapidly that the flowering buttercups, tender sedges and grasses it had been eating prior to its sudden death were found preserved and readily identifiable in its teeth and stomach. After reading Dr. Rehwinkel’s book, I hoped to someday understand what led to the death of the Berezovka Mammoth and thousands of others like it.
Can you recall any interesting stories or situations that occurred while writing it?
In my book, I acknowledge the role that prayer played in its writing. Many rabbit trails were followed before arriving at the end product. At the dead end of each rabbit trail I experienced a feeling of despair, as if the journey had led to nowhere. Only then would it dawn on me that I needed to pray, asking God to show me the way if the project was to succeed. The answer to each of those prayers arrived in the form of an idea that came very quickly. It has truly been an awe-inspiring journey.
What do you think makes your book different from others on the same subject?
It answers:
- How the waters of the Flood could have covered the world’s tallest mountain to a depth of more than 20 feet
- What the significance is of the water that was placed above the sky on Day Two
- Why evidence suggests that the ocean basins of the world were once empty
- What caused a perfectly uniform, non-zonal, spring-like climate in every part of the globe prior to the Flood

Give us a detailed profile of the one primary type of person you want to reach with your book (describe this person to us). What are some of their specific needs or problems that need answers?
According to Ben Stein in his 2008 documentary film EXPELLED, No Intelligence Allowed, a basic freedom has disappeared from the campuses of colleges and universities in America today. It is the freedom of thought and the freedom to consider Intelligent Design as an alternative theory to the mysteries of how the universe and life itself began. Mr. Stein interviewed numerous professors and researchers who were expelled from their positions for having dared to cross the line. My book is dedicated to them, others like them, and students who are willing to look for the imprint of the Creator on the work of his creation.
How will they benefit in a practical way from reading your book (how will their life change)?
Students, pastors and teachers may all be confronted by those who read the words of Genesis and ask, “How can these things be?” The Bible says: “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” By reading my book they will be equipped with many of the necessary answers.
What makes you an authority or expert on the subject of your book (why are you qualified)?
I hold a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the field of Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering. While there, I studied under Dr. Richard Battin, the country’s leading authority on interplanetary guidance.
- My book involves the computerized simulation of snowballs orbiting planet Earth. In the ‘60s, I worked for the Space & Information Systems Division of North American Aviation in Downey, California, a company responsible for developing the Apollo Command Module and Lunar Excursion Module. My responsibilities included the calculation of spacecraft trajectories.
- Later, while working for Conductron in St. Charles, Missouri, I was responsible for programming the on-board computer of the Gemini spacecraft. It was there that I was first introduced to the idea of an orbit that passes through the poles of the earth, an idea that is key to the premise on which my book is based.
- In 1975 I co-founded Airflow Sciences Corporation, a company dedicated to applying the science of computational fluid dynamics to practical problems involving fluid flow and heat transfer. I retired from the company in 2001
Is there anything currently in the news relating to your book (statistics, events, people)?
I believe my book has an impact on the global warming controversy. It shows how the ice age was born 4,300 years ago and that the ice caps atop Greenland and Antarctica have been melting at a predictable rate ever since.
